RGS Riyadh extends a very warm welcome to all parents! We offer a welcoming, nurturing, and secure, international environment for your children.

We recently hosted introductory evenings for all parents. For three days, the campus was buzzing with parents of pupils across different year groups. The Academic Leaders introduced our team of international educators. The homeroom and specialist teachers invited the parents to their classrooms for discussions. Parents were quick to recognize the immaculate classroom settings and meticulous organization of resources.

We are an inclusive school offering support services for special educational needs. Students with learning difficulties are integrated into the mainstream classes with support. Children, who cannot be integrated into mainstream yet, are prepared to join regular classes in our Special Educational Needs classroom.

The school hopes to abide by the best principles of current pedagogical practices that bring out the best in learners and teachers both.

At RGS Riyadh, we prepare lifelong learners and add value to every learner. For four years in a row, our parent Reigate Grammar School has been named ‘School of the Year’ in a wide range of awards and categories from leading industry and education bodies.

Roald Dahl Day

Roald Dahl Day

From writing letters to Roald Dahl, to dressing up as our favourite Roald Dahl characters and acting out memorable chapters from Roald Dahl’s classics, everyone in high school at Reigate Grammar joined in an international event; celebrating the life and works of Roald Dahl.

Year 11s and Year 10s received goosebumps while reading The Landlady, a short story about deception and deceit, and things are not always what they seem. They took part and re-created their own chilling account with some stories that really kept you on the edge of your seat!

Year 9s invited the SEN class and performed a fantastic performance on parts of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. They treated their guests with chocolates, with one chocolate bar containing the famous ‘Golden Ticket’; one lucky winner taking home a brand new copy of the all-time classic and non-other than Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Year 6s, Years7s and Year 8s wrote letters to Roald Dahl thanking him for his literary contributions for enriching their imaginations. All in all, high school certainly had, in the words of Roald Dahl a whizzpoppoing event!

Reigate Grammar School, Riyadh Welcomes RGS International Faculty

RGS Riyadh recently welcomed Mr. Stephen Deady, Deputy Education Director and Ms. Samantha Selkirk, Education Advisor and Head of Kindergarten at Reigate Grammar School, UK. Stephen and Samantha are accomplished educators and distinguished members of RGS International.

Samantha spent time with students in the early years and primary years. She was seen chatting and chuckling with pupils. She shared stories and facilitated fun activities in different classes.

Stephen interacted with middle schoolers and high school boys. From football to career goals, from YouTube releases to university resources, myriad themes emerged from their lively discussions.

Stephen and Samantha addressed the parents at three different introductory evenings. The healthy collaboration between the students, staff and caregivers was particularly emphasised.

They had a series of discussions with the teachers as well. RGSI’s goal of providing world-class, inclusive, holistic education was highlighted. The teachers exchanged ideas on optimally utilizing the classroom resources and technology for the overall development of every student.

RGS Riyadh takes immense pride in achieving and maintaining the exceptionally high standards of RGS, UK and RGSI. In the UK, RGS has been awarded ‘Exceptional’ for Achievement and Learning – the first co-ed day school to be awarded this rating.

RGS-R Green Team

The RGS-R Green Team is a student forum to engage with our school fraternity for an environment- conscious and sustainable community. The Green Team's endeavors evolved with a genuine desire to make a difference with the 3R's- Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. The senior students of Years 12 and 13 are working to build up a movement amongst our community- where the 3Rs become a way of life. The Reigate Grammar School Riyadh Hosted The Cambridge Annual Leaders Meeting.

The Reigate Grammar School hosted its first Cambridge Annual Leaders Meeting in Riyadh. The event took place on the 28th of September 2022 in the RGS school auditorium.

Principals and leaders from over 40 different schools were present at the meeting. The meeting was endorsed by Cambridge University Press, Collins, Hodder, and Marshall Cavendish. The school was represented by the principal, Ann Philip, the Cambridge examination officer, Bindu Joseph, and the Combined Services Coordinator, Asma Safadi.

Mr. Raed Omar Brahedni, the Cambridge representative and the Senior manager for the Middle East and North Africa gave the keynote speech and informed the affiliated schools about the latest updates and information pertaining to Cambridge Early Years, well-being checks, professional development for teachers, and the important changes and requirements for the external examinations. He thanked the principal and RGS for hosting the event and the excellent arrangements made.

The speech was followed by a grand lunch. This event provided an opportunity for social and professional networking among international school leaders.

Reigate Grammar School looks forward to hosting similar events in the future and to promote community engagement in Riyadh.

Reigate Grammar School, Riyadh Welcomes Mr. Sean Davey, Managing Director Of RGS International

RGS Riyadh received Mr. Sean Davey, Managing Director of RGS International in Riyadh on September 17, 2022. Mr. Davey led a series of promising discussions with the Royal Commission of Riyadh City (RCRC). More details on this fruitful exchange will be announced soon. He visited ADECO and had a high-yielding dialogue with the owners of the school. RGS Riyadh takes immense pride in aligning with the high standards set by RGS UK.

He was joined by Dr. Abdulrahman Almufarreh, Chairman, ADECO, as the duo represented RGS Riyadh to offer condolences to the royal family of England on the demise of Queen Elizabeth II. They paid respects and signed the book of condolences at the British Embassy in Riyadh.

Sean stayed on to celebrate the 92^nd Saudi National Day with the staff and students of RGS Riyadh. He addressed the pupils and acknowledged the remarkable efforts of the staff members.

Sean expressed his admiration for the dedicated teaching staff and administrators who keep the wheels of the organization well-greased with their ceaseless efforts and generous time. The pupils receive the benefit of their inputs as they become creative and curious explorers of the frontiers of knowledge.

Sean Davey holds BSc (Hons), PGCE and MA. He was in Riyadh till September 21, 2022
